I will telling you about Funny issue I faceed yesterday.
I wanted to reboot a test machine, it’s stopped on LED code ‘557‘ which means it can’t mount root file system, I tried to boot from AIX installation DVD to
fix the file systems using ‘fsck‘ command , after that when I leave from volume group before mount file system to the normal volume group ,
I looped on many of the following error :
/etc/getrootfs [591]: 'Process ID' Killed
After investigation, I found that I must but a correct AIX Installation CD for Example, if I working on AIX 6.1.7.6 I must but AIX Installation CD 6.1.7.6 or higher
